What is #TheGiannaEffect?

Around the time Gianna earned her wings in February 2021, 

heartwarming messages of love and support began to flood social media platforms. 

Gianna's family was blown away by the sheer amount of beautiful stories and anecdotes 

written by friends, family, classmates, and teachers. 

One such teacher described the effect Gianna had on him, his teaching career, and fellow students in their school. 

He dubbed it #TheGiannaEffect. 

That teacher, Michael De Vito, was subsequently asked to speak about G and her effect on himself and others in their school community at her touching Celebration of Life services. 

The idea and power behind this statement has grown through a grassroots hashtag campaign, 

and the family's now common usage of the phrase in their own day-to-day life. 

To us, #TheGiannaEffect represents: 

- being the light in your community. 

- supporting friends, family, neighbors, classmates, co-workers, and teachers.

- inspiring others to do the same.

April is Gianna's birth month, and so her family would love for everyone to celebrate her long-lasting and loving legacy by multiplying their charitable and caring efforts in their own day-to-day lives from 4/1 - 4/30.
